Pure BIPOC Teacher Training Scholarship

At Pure, we are committed to doing our part in making our studio and the local Ottawa community more inclusive and accessible to all. We recognize that increasing the representation of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) teachers in the yoga community is central to fulfilling this.

Our Pure BIPOC Teacher Training Scholarship aims to create equity in the accessibility of YTT certifications by offering tuition assistance to aspiring yoga teachers in the BIPOC community. Our goal is to diversify who teaches yoga and make yoga more accessible by training teachers within BIPOC communities.

This year, we are offering five $1000 scholarships to five individuals for Pure Yoga’s upcoming 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. The program begins October 2023 and runs through until March 2024.

Scholarship recipients are responsible for the remaining tuition. Flexible payment plans are available.
